Creole and Crossmark simply add two more to the mix. People will just have to deal with fiddling with the markup when porting content from one repository to another. Development of advanced tools remains frustrated by the fragmentation of formats, but over time some might emerge which are very agile at the variant formats, and can even help automate the interconversion.
